Welcome to Lucky Paws Rescue Foundation. We are a passionate, 100% volunteer-driven, foster-based animal rescue dedicated to giving neglected, abandoned, and surrendered dogs a second chance at a beautiful life.
We believe that a dog’s past does not have to dictate their future. Whether a dog comes to us from an overcrowded city shelter, a commercial breeding facility, or a heartbroken family facing financial hardship, our mission remains the same: to provide them with safety, top-tier medical care, and the loving forever home they have always deserved.
📖 Our Story: How It All Began
Lucky Paws Rescue Foundation wasn’t started in a boardroom; it was started out of pure love for animals. We witnessed too many incredible dogs—dogs who had so much love left to give—running out of time in loud, stressful shelter environments simply because of a lack of space.
We knew we had to step in. What started as a small effort to save a few lives quickly grew into a massive network of dedicated foster families, volunteers, and veterinary partners. Today, we are proud to be a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that transforms the lives of hundreds of dogs (and the humans who adopt them) every single year.
🐾 The Breeds We Champion
While we believe every “mutt” is a masterpiece, our rescue network has developed a deep expertise in rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming several specific breeds. We understand their unique medical needs, temperaments, and quirks.
We frequently open our doors to:
The Loyal Family Companions: Active, loving dogs who want nothing more than to be part of your family adventures, including Labrador Retrievers, Goldendoodles, and merry, curious Beagles.
The Squishy Faces: We are highly experienced in the specialized veterinary and breathing needs of brachycephalic (flat-faced) breeds, rescuing sweet English Bulldogs, French Bulldogs, and charming little Pugs.
The Fluffy & Fabulous: Intelligent, fiercely loyal, and often hypoallergenic breeds that require consistent grooming, such as Poodles, Maltese, and Shih Tzus.
The Tiny Treasures: Small dogs are incredibly vulnerable in shelter environments. We rush to save spunky Yorkshire Terriers (Yorkies), devoted Chihuahuas, and clever Dachshunds.
Teacup Rescues: We provide the intensive, delicate care required for ultra-small Teacup breeds, ensuring they go to quiet, safe, and attentive homes where they can thrive.
🏡 The “Foster-Based” Differencen
If you are looking for our shelter address, you won’t find one! Lucky Paws Rescue Foundation does not operate a kennel facility.
Instead, every single dog we save is placed directly into a loving, indoor foster home. We believe that concrete floors and chain-link fences are no place for a dog to heal. Because our dogs live in real homes with our volunteers, we are able to:
Truly understand their personalities away from the terrifying noise of a pound.
Provide a quiet space to heal from surgeries, malnutrition, or trauma.
Start basic training, including potty training, crate training, and learning how to walk on a leash.
Evaluate them around children, cats, and other dogs to ensure we make the absolute perfect match for your family.

Uncompromising Medical Care: We do not cut corners. Every Lucky Paws dog is fully examined by a vet, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated before adoption. If a dog needs an expensive life-saving surgery, we fight for them.
Complete Transparency: We want our adoptions to be forever. We will always be 100% honest with you about a dog’s behavioral quirks, medical history, and training needs.
A Lifetime Commitment: When a dog becomes a “Lucky Paws” dog, they are family for life. If an adopter can no longer care for the dog—whether it’s three days or ten years down the road—we guarantee that dog will always have a safe place back with us.
