1. Acceptance of Terms
By using this website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our website or services.
2. The Adoption Application Process
Submitting an adoption application does not guarantee that you will be approved for adoption, nor does it guarantee that the specific dog you applied for (whether a Labrador, French Bulldog, Teacup, or any other breed) will be placed with you.
Right to Refuse: Lucky Paws Rescue Foundation reserves the right to refuse service, deny any adoption application, or cancel an adoption at any time, at our sole discretion, without providing a specific reason. Our primary obligation is to the safety and well-being of the dogs in our care.
Accuracy of Information: You agree that all information provided in your adoption application, emails, and interviews is true and accurate. Falsifying information (such as housing rules, fencing, or current pets) is grounds for immediate denial or confiscation of the adopted dog.
3. Adoption Fees, Payments, and Deposits
Lucky Paws Rescue Foundation is a non-profit organization. All adoption fees are considered donations that go directly toward the medical care, housing, and rehabilitation of our rescued dogs.
Adoption Fees: Adoption fees are due in full at the time of the final adoption contract signing.
Non-Refundable: Unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing, adoption fees and hold deposits are non-refundable. This policy ensures our rescue can continue to fund the medical care of other animals in need.
4. Assumption of Risk and Liability
Animals can be unpredictable. While we thoroughly evaluate the temperament of every dog—from our tiny Chihuahuas to our large Goldendoodles—we cannot guarantee the future behavior, temperament, or size of any rescue dog.
Post-Adoption Responsibility: Upon signing the official Adoption Contract and taking physical possession of the dog, the adopter assumes full financial and legal responsibility for the animal.
Waiver of Liability: Lucky Paws Rescue Foundation, its board members, volunteers, and foster families shall not be held liable for any damages, injuries, or illnesses caused by the dog after adoption. This includes, but is not limited to, property damage, bites, or injuries to other pets or humans.
5. Health and Medical Disclaimer
We strive to provide the most accurate medical history possible for every dog in our care. All known medical conditions will be fully disclosed prior to adoption.
Because many of our dogs are rescued from unknown backgrounds, we cannot guarantee against unforeseen future illnesses, genetic defects, or conditions that arise after adoption (unless specifically covered under our separate Health Guarantee).
The adopter agrees to provide all future veterinary care, including emergency care, at their own expense.
6. The “No Shelter” Return Policy
As stated in our Adoption Contract, if for any reason you can no longer care for the adopted dog, the dog must be returned to Lucky Paws Rescue Foundation.
You may not sell, trade, give away, or surrender the dog to an animal shelter, pound, or animal control facility under any circumstances.
Violating this term may result in legal action to recover the animal.
7. Website Intellectual Property
All content on this website—including logos, text, graphics, and photographs of the dogs—is the property of Lucky Paws Rescue Foundation and is protected by copyright laws. You may not steal, copy, reproduce, or use our images or text for commercial purposes or to falsely represent your own business.
8. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites (such as Petfinder, donation portals, or recommended pet food brands). We do not control these websites and are not responsible for their content, privacy policies, or practices.
9. Governing Law
